In particular the (free open source) Asterisk software VoIP PBX is the primary system that our website integrates with although we also support soft and hard phones which use the IAX protocol (IAX standard for "Inter Asterisk Exchange"). This website is suited to individuals or companies that have their own technical expertise to manage their own equipment and we do NOT offer technical support services for client's own equipment. The focus of www.iax.ie is low cost, high quality, call carrying and Irish telephone number provision. We believe that there is a growing demand for this service.

Offering a residential/Individual quick-install VoIP telephone solution. A choice of two telephone handsets will be available free of charge (subject to a minimum pre-paid topup) and will allow users to instantly benefit from the greatly reduced Internet VoIP telephone call charges. Irish users will also be provided with a unique local telephone number to allow them to receive calls from any traditional telephone.

We are currently looking for test subscribers for this product.
